First. Welcome to df eahirst! My first dog rarely barked. I think some dogs just don't bark much. Is it just recently your poodle stopped barking?
We really need more information.

Default Dog Recently Stopped Barking -- why

My 13 year old poodle recently stopped barking -- why? In her younger days she did not bark much but now she does not bark at all. Please help me to understand this?
Thank you

There could be so many reasons, it's hard to tell. Maybe ask your vet.

You should get her checked out, maybe her hearing has gone so she does not hear anything to bark at. Does she act like she hears you?

I wouldn't worry about it Some dogs just don't bark much, it doesn't mean there's something wrong with them. Especially older dogs. They aren't as excitable, and they've been around so long they don't feel much need to bark.

Yes my Nipper doesn't bark much unless someones knocks at the door even when I am in the living room she also bark when she is protesting about a toy we have put away or she's waiting for treat she's little madam Seriously though if you are worried seek advice from your vet that fact your dog doesn't really bark in the first place when she was younger it might appear to be something really wrong with her but some dogs are more 'vocal' than others. after all every dog is different! I hope your vet can help you in some way. Good luck and let us know how you get on! It woud be interesting to hear what your vets say.

My old boy Casey didn't bark much either, as he aged. When he did, it was more like a squeak than a bark.
