Default Hello...

I'm from Oz, have 3 dogs, 3 hens, 4 cats and 20ish pet sheep. Lots of visiting wild birds, about 20 eat from my hand.

Do rescue stuff with dogs and grumpily, with cats. (Rescued 11 feral kittens this year, managed to rehome 8. Swore my 15 yrish cat would be my last, now have 3 under 1!!! Not happy, to be truthful ! is still wild).

Also interested in allied bomber crew of WW2. Any others going SNAP!?

Thanks techie, nice thought, tho that isn't how we use gday or gidday. We would say, if pretty ocker, 'Ave a good/great day, the abbreviated gday is strictly like Hello. (great is more modern)

If you are surprised, and very ocker, you could say, "Well stone the bleedin' crows!" That's real, more rural, mainly pre 1960's

If you are given something or told something exciting or unexpected, and you are unsure of it, (Is it really trustworthy, or is it genuine, not a copy, you'd say, "Is this ridgy didge?"

G'day Lancaster from a fellow Aussie. This is a great forum so hope you like it. Look forward to seeing some pics of your menagerie. Are you in the country and what breed of sheep do you run?

I can't take pictures. Had a lot of stuff stolen, had to take on 11 desexings, etc., HUGE car troubles, none of it budgetted and very new to computers and isolated, so no one to ask to help, Have no idea how to upload and in truth, don't even understand the directions on how to upload. Sad and old, I'm afraid. So I don't own a camera. It is sad, as I have some pretty pics of my smallest terrier cleaning the 3 week old rescue kittens. One teeny kitten is upright, and gripping her muzzle whiskers as she licks his face, so he doesn't fall backwards. Plus a few where the tiny kitten is snuggled up to her. My main dogs don't hurt anything. Harriet will let the kittens do anything, except try to suckle. Two of the kittens she raised are still here. 2 rambunctious, huge black twins boys. Sometimes I put Harriet in with them, and they mob her like a lad from a boyband. Rub all over her, purring like trains, They are her height, but she is longer and heavier.

So, yes am rural, but in case I rant about my neighbour, don't want to say where, as there's so few of us.

My sheep are rescued, so most are sad bitza's. Couple of poll dorsets, built for meat, like brick dunnies, but wonderful personalities. 3 Langshan hens, halfway through moult.

May have to disappear from here for a few days, so if I can't get back, I'm not being rude...
