Default Hello

I am actaully an old memeber, just not been here in a long time. Some of you "old ones" may remember me. My name is Sandra and I live on the coast of Texas.

I joined several years ago and told the styry how ProHeart6 had killed my 4 year old golden retriever, Hunter on Oct. 16, 2003. I loast his littermate sister, KayCee to cancer May 25, 2008 at age almost 9, and just the year before on May 15 had lost my old red golden retrieve,r Buck at 12 yr. 3 months ot heart.

I have a golden mix, tho most take her for full golden, that we adopted Dec. 7, 2002 named Honey. She is pushing 11 if not 11 already . When we adopted her she was fully grown and already heart worm positive. Three years ago lat month (I have come to not like May very much) we had a mast cell tumor removed from her left rear leg, but thankfully it did not come back and so far we have not found any more.

If the pictures come thru, there is one of her tkane this past Dec., one of her the day Before Easter and one back in about Feb. For her age she does not have much white on her face and is so active, agile, no hint of arthritis and my vet says she looks and acts like she is 4, not 11 or almost 11.

Oh, I must explina here that I have iabetic edema in my eyes and cataracts and am legally blind. I can not long drive or even read paper, books etc, can not sew or do needle point, put together my jig saw puzzles, work cross words puzzles, et. I have to wear reading glasses and use a magnifying glass to even try to read recipes, etc. I can not see a word I am typing, and with my rheumatoid arthritis, I make many mistakes typing and I can not see them to corret. I do not get to read all the posts etc like I could a few years ago and hav dropped off most of my forums, etc. I will try to drop in here from time to time. I get dizzy goning back and froth with magnifying glass, but would like to read posts from time to tiem.

Honey is a doll! What a sweet-looking dog. Goldens are basically the perfect dog. I have always admired them.

Welcome back! Even though I wasn't here then
You might try using Foxfire. If you control++ you can make the print larger.
Control-- makes if smaller.
Also Dragon Naturally Speaking can be used to type in your words. You have to train it though and with your vision problems might be hard to do.
I have always liked Goldens. They are such lovable goofballs.
