Default Introduction

Hello from Kansas..
Im a 46yo woman, I have two boys living at home and 5 dogs, now 6.
I work from home so have plenty of time for our dogs.So a little about our pups.
First we have our elderly boy Kippy, a border collie, he is 13yo and deaf.He is also starting to get cataracts. But he is still happy and thats what counts.
Then we have our chihuahua, twinkie she is 5yrs old, a gift to me for mothers day when she was 8 weeks old.
Hershey is an italian greyhound also 5yrs old that we rescued along with her sister that we fostered. She came from a very bad situation, the mom had died and so had some of the pups from being left out in 6 degree weather. She has come a long way from a terrified/unsocialized pup to a rather outgoing doggie.
Then we have Appa a 3yo boston terrier, he is the best dog ever but has been a challenge for us.Also a rescue from a backyard breeder that didnt know the first thing about puppies
Then there is Sasha 16 mnths, a rottie heeler mix, my hubby brought her home last year when she was on her way to the pound.
Now we have Dixie, a Bluetick hound. She is around 6yrs old, we've had her for two days now.She is in a pen outside for now until we can get her to the vet on friday and she has a chance to acclimate and see how she is with cats.I think we have our work cut out for us on this one.Dont know if this will end up a foster thing or if we will keep her.Either way, she wont be neglected anymore.

Hello Joann42, welcome! How terrific of you to give a home to the rescues. It sounds like you have quite an interesting gang there and I hope to hear a lot more about them and see tons of pictures :-). I like your choices of names, very cute.

Hi Joann and

Bless you for taking in these critters who were in need of a good home! If only there were more humans like you!
