Default Bully For The Guinness

Hello everyone, I have a 5 year old white Bull Terrier we call The Guinness when we talk about him. He was a runt and born deaf. It doesn't bother him though. He is our second deaf Bully rescue and we've had him since he was 5 weeks old.

We also have two older cats that have him figured out. He has a high prey drive and so they simply won't run in front of him. Like all dogs we've had, The Guinness has something to teach us about dogs and in a way, about life in general. We have learned that if we pay attention to him and all dogs, we will learn quite a bit in the end.

Glad to have found this place and look forward to all the discussion about doggies and the people they like.

Vambo

Hey thanks folks. I do have some experience with my own two dogs. It's not all that different than it is with dogs who can hear other than we can say "walk" or the doorbell can ring without anyone exploding.

Here is a picture of The Guinness.

Hello & welcome to df. The Guinness is gorgeous. I can certainly see the advantages. My dogs wouldn't feel the need to bark so much when ppl walk by our house.

My previous border collie, April, was deaf in later life so I have a little inkling on what it's like.
