Hello, I was just looking for a place to hang out with other dog people and came across this site. I have a border collie and am also living with a sheltie although technically she's not mine.

She's my demo dog for obedience training. She has also done some herding of both ducks and sheep, she's not very good at it but she gives it her all. We've done agility and she does a number of tricks that come in handy at speaking engagments when we really want to wow an audience, but mostly she's been my best friend for the last eight years.

Right now she's out cold on my bed but, alas, not because she was working hard all day, rather it's because it's way to cold to go outside right now!

How about you, what all do you do with your collie?

Ashenpaw, who turns six this upcoming February, is my partner at work. He helps me run doggy daycare by managing the playgroups energy level. It is PRICELESS. I did not train him for this, he simply picked up what I was doing.

Smart boy. Early this year I started Rally training with him and we already earned his Novice title, completed Advanced/Excellence training, and currently prepping for his first Advanced trial coming in January. More recently we started Agility training, REALLY beginning here, just putting stuff together.

Ash earns his snoozes sessions on the couch when we're done. But he adores all the attention he gets.
