Default Hello

Hello all. I am not really new, but it has been a long long long time since I was here last. IN fact, so long ago I don't remember when it was. I had all my stuff under favorites and just clicked on it. My computer crashed, I had to get a new one...and lost my list and coulnd't really remember the name here. Today happens to be my birthday----and I got an e-mail birthday greetin from here, so was able to find my way back.,

I am Sandra and I live on the Texas coast just out of Corpus Christi. When I joined a little over 3 years ago I had two full golden retrievers. Buck and KayCee, and an adopted golden retriver mix, Honey, who most take for full golden. I had lost KayCee's littermate brother, Hunter, on Oct. 16, 2003 to autoimmune hemolytic anemiia and liver damage brought on by ProHert6 injection.

Sadly, I lost Buck at age 12 yrs. 3 months to heart attack on May 15, 2007. He died in my arms with me telling him how much I loved him. Then I lost KayCee at 8 yrs. 9 months May 25, 2008 to a gasrointestinal stromal tumor. She died just aout 48 hours after her surgery, with me holding her in ICU at the vets. Four weeks ago today, Honey, age 7 1/2 had a mast cell tumor removed from the outside of her left knee. My vet did get clean margin so we are hoping there is not one we have not detected.

I also have to say here that I have vision problems. One year ago today I was diagnosed wth diabetes, low thyroid, high cholesterol and a problem with low blood pressure ...and I have had rheumatoid arthritis for 25 years. Some days I see better than others. My eye doctor said that when my blood pressure is real low--like 67/45, I am not getting enoughoxygen to my eyes (or brain or anaything else actully) and that makes my vision a lot worse I had been legall blind in left eye, but injections into the eyeball has really heoped. Only problem--my rotten insurance company says the injections are "experimental" and won't pay the $850 for an injection Youwould think I was getting it done in Dr. Frankenstiens cellar lab in Transvannia instead of a top eye specialist--who does it daily an most insurances pay.

So, with my stiff fingers and bad vision I do tend to make some pretty awful typos. Just letting you know ahead of time.

back 3 goldens!

I remember you from way back - from a forum that is no more.

Boy it sounds like the bad luck fairy has been on your tail. I'm sorry to hear that, cripes. Too bad we can't average our blood pressures. But I'm very glad you're back. Don't be a stranger!

Welcome back and glad for the Return. Sorry you have so many health issues, join the crowd, I have RA, high blood pressure, high colest., Osteoporsis, broken ankel with steel plate, pins, screws, nuts n bolts, cannot be removed because it is full of RA, so I deal with it and my dogs.

Enjoy and get well.
