Default Hello, my name is Pauline

and my dogs name is Asia, she`s a rescue akita and she`s 4 years old, I`ve been browsing the photos on the gallery and love all the sweet pictures

I`m going to try and post a couple of pictures of my Asia

This Asia in the snow that we had this year

This Asia giving her snow akita friend a kiss

And this is my nutty girl with her favorite toy, "Mr. Moose"

WELCOME TO THE FORUM

Asia is a doll, love the pics of her. Kudos to you for taking in a rescue dog, both mine are rescues, well pound puppies, but the one was so sick and abused I consider him a rescue. I can tell from your pics that you know how wonderful rescue dogs can be. Asia sure looks like a very happy little girl.

I have a soft spot for akitas, had a little personal experience with them, great dogs with the right owner. Plus I love the way they look.

Welcome Pauline (and Asia!). What terrific photos, I love the one with the snow akita, hoping to see more of them and hear more about Asia.

Thank you for the welcome Asia and me loved building the snow akita, well she tried to help by digging up the fresh snow that I had carefully collected together LOL

Yes, rescues are very special, Asia took about one and a half years to really come out of herself, she was a very sad little girl when she came to us, for weeks she would just curl up in the kitchen area and not move, she had a lot of problems, but now she is the most loving and sweet akita and my constant companion. I agree wit hyou, that akitas have to have the right owner, Asia is my second akita, my first was a boy called Benny, he passed away just over 2 and a half years ago from bone cancer, he was nearly 12 years old, so I learnt a lot about akitas from being Benny`s mum

Well done to you for taking in your pound puppies, I would consider them as rescues too

G'day and welcome to you and Asia. She is beautiful...just like a bear and just as cuddly. Good for you for rescuing her.

Thank you all for you all lovely welcome, I'm glad you liked my pictures, I`ll try and get some more up soon I think the one of her with her with Mr. Moose is a fav of mine because it shows her funny character, she can be a bit of a plonker from time to time she could hardley see with her moose in her mouth and she just stood on the spot looking confused
