Smile I'm a Newbie

Hiya people! I'm new here. And sadly my mixed breed dog, named Pepper will move out soon, because my parents are separated. And my father will take Pepper with him so my mom said maybe we'll get a new dog.

Any personal favourites of small dogs. Im thinking about getting a Yorkie. But are they yappy? Are they cute? What do I feed them?

please help me whenever you can.

Thanks!
Victoria

I like smooth coated fox terriers, and they are small dogs

I would not get a dog from a pet store, please do not get one from there, please promise that when you get a dog you get one from a rescue or a reputable breeder for the dogs sake, and other dogs sake to.

There only a bit bigger then a westie, by like a couple of inches, but they are great small dogs, maybe a Lhasa apso or a Shih tzu or like you say a westie.

Yeah! Shih tzu's are one of my favourites. Do you know anything about them? Are they really yappy, or can you train them to be quieter?

As they are normally from puppy mills and BYB, the puppies are not normally as socialised as from a good breeder, there are a ton of reasons, read this link it will explain more, but I would never buy from a pet shop, you could more then likely be putting money in the hands of people who treat dogs like machines.

The one that I lived with was not yappy but a lovely dog who loved people, here is a link for the dogs, I didn't live with one for long though.
