Designer "breeders" - DogForum.net

I've always wanted to do a thread on this subject (didn't want to hijack Chaz's thread) to show the idiocy of these ppl. Australia only has a population of 22 million. Where do all these dogs end up, as if I didn't know.
These are only 2 places breeding these puppies. Look at the numbers they are producing!!!!!!!!!

They have way to many different kinds of dogs in one place, I don't like it, and I don't get why people would buy from them.

And does that rivergum one only breed from golden cockers, I wonder if they tell customers about rage?

They make it sound so legitimate and ethical don't they?

The average, first time pet owner wouldn't have a clue what's really behind these mass breeding operations.

Those landscape photos could be from anywhere. It's doubtful they have anything to do with the conditions in which the puppies are actually raised.

I didn't cover the entire site, but don't recall seeing any photos of puppies actually playing outside.

This type of mass breeding should be outlawed. But I doubt that it will ever happen! It sure won't as long as house pets are lumped into the same category as livestock produced for human consumption!

I feel sorry for those puppys in the second link, in that shop. No puppy should have to spend it first few weeks locked up.

I still looking though the first link, concerned that there breeding grom golden cockers and the fact they seem to have so many litter avalable atone time who has time for that many puppies.

I despise the people who do this and feel so sorry for the poor female who is used for producing...treated like a throwaway...disposed of when no longer useful. There should be a law against it but how do you police it. People are taken in by the cute puppy in the pet shop window and don't think of where they come from. Very sad and cruel indeed!
I remember well the story of Leo and it broke my heart. Thank goodness it had a happy ending.

Geeezzzzzzz, Almost lost for words..

The size difference between some of these breeds they are putting together.. the health implications is frightening.

Not one mention of health tests for any of these dogs concerned in the breeding practice,

And the sad fact is people will be taken in and buy these dogs.

or health or other info on the bitches. like how old they are and how many litters they had.

I saw someone at the park just the other day and asked what kind of mix it was , to that they replied "it's not a mix it's a cock-a-poo" I'm like , so what's that , to this they reply "a cocker spaniel and a poodle " I'm like so it's a mix , a mutt then ,not pure bred , they are all offended about it , so I diffused it rather than battle their ignorance and said" well he's a cutie thanks for your time " and me and my mutts were on our happy way trying not to let them see my eyes roll or my head shake ,

idiots , and they probably paid out the rear for it and they are nothing but glorified mutts .

I love all dogs but the whole "let's get this dog because it's all the rage " mentallity when they are getting a mutt kills me . Way too many mixes in shelters to be supporting a puppy mill just for the sake of having a yuppie approved dog .

To me mutt and mix are one in the same , my boy Baron is a Rott mix , a mutt , and I'm damn proud of it!
