Question What mix is the "new designer breed JACKET"?

I'm confused. I read the for sale ads regularly for dogs/cats. (Wouldn't buy any, just curious.) Today, there was an ad that had a lot of "designer" breed mixes.....the one that got me was a:

JACKET

What on earth is that a mix of?!?! Jack Russel?

Maybe its a straight jacket for the people who buy the dogs after they go insane when they find out that they've paid loads of money for a X breed that they would of proberly found in a rescue.
Has any rescue gave all their dogs fancy names yet because they would proberly find homes much more quicker?

Jack russel x Basset?

That's my main thought. Can't believe people are so stupid to think that these names make the dog anything other than a mutt!
I have absolutely nothing against crossbreeds, but for gods sake, call it what it is, and don't charge ridiculous prices! Makes me so mad!

I think the Dorkies are my husband's and my favorite, too! We just love how cute and fuzzy those faces are! And we LOVE doxies. Hubby's aunt has them, what a great, lovable breed.

as this has been bumped up, I was wondering did anyone ever find out what the cross was.

I thinking a jack russell cross Whippet, I can imagin that convosation at a game fair.
Terrier racing man see's little girl carrying a small puppy of what he thinks is a lurcher.........

Terrier racing man (TRM) "so whats your dog then"

Little girl (LG) proudly says "It's a Jacket"

TRM "I never heard of one of those is it a cross breed"

LG "no its a desiner breed, daddy was a jack russell and mummy a whippet"

TRM "oh a desiner breed ay, in my day a dog like that would be called a lurcher a cross breed for hunting rabbits."

LG "OH NO he never hert a little bunny, he a good dog, mummy and daddy payed £700 for him."

TRM shakes his head, then turning to the parents ask "where you get the puppy from"
They tell him "oh some big desiner pet shop, they had all sorts of posh new breeds, like cokapoo's and pee a poo's ect."

TRM "so you never saw where the pups lived or mum and dad"

Childs parent "no, but they come from realy good parents, we have papers to say so"

TRM looks at his suposed "designer breed" in the back of his van, and wonders wheather he sould tell the little girls parents if they had come to him they could have seen mum and dad that had been health tested and would have only sold the pups to them for £150.

TRM see them again the next year at the same show, but this time dogless. He ask where there buddle of joy was. Aparently puppy had to be PTS at 11 months old due to some sort of hereditry, what ever that was illness. But it was ok they where going back to the posh shop tomorra to pick out another one.

I've never successfully been able to figure out what a "jacket" was. Besides a stupid name.
