Hi Joanne and welcome to the forum.
There's no reason to think that this mix would not be good with kids, but there are a couple of things to be aware of.

One is that your puppy is about to enter the nipping stage. It's normal for pupies to nip and bite each other when playing, and when there are no littermates around, they'll do it to their human family. The thing is, those puppy teeth are sharp and it can hurt. Puppies can be trained not to nip but it will take time and patience - little kids aren't normally known for that.

The other is that a normal 9 yr old kid will understand that a puppy is a living breathing creature, but a toddler won't. The result is that your 2 and 3 yr olds probably won't understand that your puppy is a real animal and not a toy. It is never a good idea to leave toddlers and dogs unsupervised for even a moment - even if both doggy and child are nice and well-behaved, sometimes a little kid will screech or yank on a dog's tail, and the dog will react the way he would with another dog, namely with a nip. Our human skin is more delicate so it results in an injury and possibly a kid (and mom!) getting very scared.

This was probably more than you wanted to know but I hope it helps.

I also hope we get to see pics!

thanks, she does nip, she chases the kids and tries to chew thier feet. i at this point gently but firmly get the back of her neck as a mother dog would do and tell her no. she is a very well behaved pup, i expected her to wee and poo in the house last night and she didnt. she has had 2 little wee's in the hosue but is in genral very good at going outside. my toddlers are very weary of her at them moment so dont really go near her. but i know never to leave them alone. wich is actully harder than i though

how do i upload pics?

Joanne, please look in all that text in my signature a few lines down where it says "Helpful Tips." There you will find links, both to the FAQ section (good articles there on how to deal with common annoyances, including puppy nipping ) and also the Newbie Guide that has info on how to post pics.

I hope that gets you started and if you need more help just ask.

You also may want to look into crate training.

Hi and Welcome to the Dog Forum.

Why not? That is the better question any dog could bite or attack a child, any breed, any mix of. It is all how you are its LEADER AND BOSS from the very beginning. Not to tolerate jumping up on people, table for food, in garabe for food. Set feedings to a T daily as many as your planning. Make sure the pup or dog is getting enough to eat. While eating make your hands part of its food by sitting down and petting it while eating. Keep the children back while training. I do this with every pup I get from Europe and never Ever had an agressive eater or dog for that matter.

Get a video or read library books, Monks of New Skete on dogsbestfriend.com is a good start, u do not need to do everything their way, pick n choose your methods. Crate training is very important with children. Here is a great link to read about how to and all the but;s and if's. http://www.siriusweb.com/AAD/crate.html

Good luck and if you need any further help, just let us know here. The Best to you and New Friend for all of you....

That breed will be fine with kids - any breed will be fine with kids as long as you set rules for the dog and the children.
Dont let your kids annoy the dog too much, a puppy is a great way to teach children about dogs

Since both breeds are generally known to love children I'd say its probably an ok mix to get along with kids. But there is more to look at then just breed. Such as the dogs breeding, how the dog is raised/trained and how the kids are supervised and taught to respect the dog. I see you've been given lots of great advice to start them out right together. Good luck and hope to see lots of pics since I like both those breeds. I've had Boxers myself and have the "American" version of the breeds as some say American Pit Bull Terriers.
