Thanks for your posts guys!.
He goes in sept 11 to get his first vac needles. He is/will get lots of human socialization.... we spent the whole day at my fiancee's cottage with tonnes of people around and they were all mauling him and fussing over him and he just loves it.... gives everyone kisses. He even slept on my fiancee's mom like a little baby for almost an hour. We just got home now and he's completely exhausted.... passed out on the floor. There was a guy there that said he has a husky that was 250lbs..... to which i replied... well if he gets that big.... i'll shoot him hahaha. I've never heard of any dog that's 250lbs... maybe like a grossly overweight st bernard or something (or maybe it is common... and i just don't know any better lol). I'm hoping he'll be betwee 50-70lb's full grown. We live in a townhouse with a small backyard right now (planning to get a house in the next few years).... so he pretty much HAS to be an indoor dog. As far as training goes.... I've been focusing on getting him to walk with me on the leash and going outside to pee.... he's catching on pretty well to the leash already... and.... not so much with the pee'ing in the house but.... i'm sure it'll come after a few months.... he's still pretty young. I feel so bad that he was taken away from his mother so early.... I honestly have no idea why he was since we got him from a lady that got him from her neighbor that got him from the mother. We are giving him as much love and attention as we can and he seems to be adjusting really well.... he does still suck a bit in his sleep but i give him my thumb for a minute and he stops. Maybe we should be giving him a bit of milk or something? Thanks again for your replies! TJ |

Don't worry about the milk, he is big enough to be weaned now. I think the concern is more about his social development rather than physical. So glad to hear he is meeting lots of new people, that is really great. If any of your friends or family have friendly dogs that you KNOW are fully vaccinated and healthy you could always invite them over to meet the new pup.

Awe, he is adorable. My friend has a 14 year old husky wolf X who is the best behaved dog i have ever met. They never use a leash with her, i remember once we went swimming and they left the dog at the front not tied up or anything, and after swimming we would come out and she would just be lying there. Every little kid loved her because she would just lie there and they would pat her. She was a very good dog. Im sure yours will be two.
