Hi soulpair and welcome. I think you are best off taking her to the vet. More than likely it will be very hard to find homes for the pups, and a tremendous amount can go wrong during a pregnancy. Good luck.

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Like Skunkstripe I would get the female to the vet asap and if she is pregnant have it terminated. As already said it is not easy to find homes for puppies, and something could go wrong during the pregnancy or the whelping and there is a chance you could lose your bitch. Sorry to paint such a picture, and sorry that you had this unfortunate accident.

You'll have to get her to the vet right away since the shot has to be given within a limited amount of time. I think it's 24 hours. If you missed out on the shot, she can be spayed as soon as she's out of heat.

If you do not spay now while in heat to remove all her insides, do NOT ask any vet on earth to rid of puppies in a female. It is tooo dangerous. I would never risk it, get her spayed NOW~~~
Nobody will blame u when females are in heat, it is known a poodle climbed a fence, bred a larger dog through the wire. Males will do whatever it takes to get to a female in heat, this is why one does not turn a back for a second. Just get her taken care of immediately as I know of NO vets that would terminate a pregnancy in a dog. Just would most likely kill her. ![]()

A spay after she goes out of heat isn't the same as terminating a full blown pregnancy. Which by the way would be no more dangerous for the bitch than a c-section. Most vets wouldn't do a mid term spay because the puppies wouldn't be ready to be born, they couldn't survive and vets wouldn't want to have to euthanize them.
In a post heat spay the puppies (if there are any) are so tiny they wouldn't even be palpable. The entire uterus is removed intact and there's no real need to even know if she was pregnant or not. IMO post heat spay is a far better solution than producing more dogs to wind up filling barrels and freezers in shelters.

It's physically possible by six months for some. It's not recommended until they're past two and all health testing has been completed.
