Default Common sense article about mixes and mutts

Well I think so anyway. I do a have a soft spot for mystery dogs. I think this sentence hit the nail on the head as to the popularity of certain mixes.

Quote:
“People stopped us on the street and asked what kind of dog Ethel was,” Dale says. “They seemed disappointed when I’d say she was an Australian shepherd mix.”

Since people seemed to want Ethel to “be” something, Dale began calling her a King Daley shepherd, referencing Chicago’s longtime mayors.

Kind of makes me wish I could think of a fancy name for Zircie.

When I was about 10 years old, we had two mutts. My friend had and boasted that she had a purebred Springer Spaniel. (I don't think he was a purebred, but this really bothered me) She would emphasise the "purebred." I wished I had a purebred, even though, of course, I was crazy about my dogs. To make me feel better, my big brother, (recently deceased, sadly) who was always looking out for me and protecting me told me to tell this girl that Bruno, our Lab mix was a Peruvian Pinscher. LOL. Don't ya just love the sound of that? LOL.

It is weird....the psychology of it all. Now, I couldn't care less. I love all my dogs, mixed or not. Anyhow....really, when you think back on evolution, they're all mixed as far as the big picture goes.

If you ever get the chance when somebody asks what breed your mixed breed is, tell them that she's a "purebred mutt". You can practically see the wheels turning in peoples' heads as they try to figure out what the heck it is

Find a dead launguage translator and find out the translattion of 'mixed-breed'. When ever anyone asks say it's a "gookenalashbingerheimer" (made up word_
