Default Obedience trials for my labs!

Im tossing around things i want to do with my pups, im actually going to watch a flyball practice in about 2 weeks but i was looking around the akc website and came across the obedience trial thingers...there was a part that said they have to be spayed or neutered, i was wondering if that ment all of the dogs have to be or just the dogs that arent akc registered!
Im doubled checking because they talk about dogs who are not akc registered or not on the list of breeds but this is still a good way for them to get awards and such!
Thanks!!

If you have a purebred dog who is not registerable, you can still compete in AKC trials if you get an ILP license (it is about $35 & you have to fill out a form that is available on their website & send in a front & side pic of your dog so they can determine it is a purebred dog).

AKC doesn't have an obedience classification for non-pedigreed dogs. It's a shame really.

HERE IS THE AKC ILP INFO

They have to be AKC or ILP registered ... and the only dogs that qualify for that registration are AKC registered purebreds or dogs deemed to be purebreds get the ILP #. This, I assume, was added to allow for shelter rescue purebred dogs to be able to compete.

Why don't you plan to spay her? AND YES, it is a rule ... for VERY good reason too. There are so many unwanted dogs in this world, it is irresponsible to breed unregisterable dogs solely for the purpose of having puppies.

well their all purebred and registered...that really wasnt my concern! it was more along the lines of the spay and neuter was more of my question.
i was just curious because the obedience trial with not listed dogs or non-purebred seemed to be more talked about in the information than the purebred already registered!

I don't believe AKC registered dogs have to be spayed or neutered to enter any form of competition within AKC.

awesome! well to answer your earlier question the reason i am not spaying her...nor am i neutering cainan is so they can breed. BUT that is why im searching along the akc website to hopefully enter them into some cool and fun competitions and wins some awards so their more then just your average lab, ya know!
BUT again..haha...im doing all of my homework and applesmom has answered alot of my questions that i was unsure of, and def. keeping up with the things that need to be done with them to make sure they are top notch haha! and of course healthy!
