Default Just got our puppy and trying to determine breed

We rescued one of these adorable puppies from the shelter yesterday. We are in love! They told us they were jack russel terrier pups but the chocolate and green eyes is throwing me off. What do you guys think?

I see chocolate lab. Look exactly like the chocolate lab my ex DIL had. My other son has a JRK tterrier and peanut looks NOTHING like these pups.

I see lab too and I told my husband he looks like a mini cohcolate rottweiler but I have two large breed dogs and he is way too small to be a large breed.

Those aren't jack russels, or if they are then mixed with something like lab or another breed...were they meaning to say that they are a mix of jack russel and something else? You could get a DNA test done to determine their breed.

Actually their faces don't show any JRT (from a second look and a zoom right in ) And don't forget they are only 8 weeks old what does your pup weigh now? I would then take another weigh in at 12 weeks old you could ask your vet if they have a some scales They should have! As a guess a fully grown JRT should be well under 30lbs around aprox 12kg my Staffy Bull Terrier is 16Kg about 35Lbs
