Default Part of Annie Heritage?

Think Annie might be part Tennessee Treeing Brindle? She even does the "crying" sometimes when she is looking out the fence across to the field.

So many breeds I've never heard of. How did you find what she might part be?

My husband was just surfing on the net for photos of various kinds of hounds (our favorite type of dogs). He saw the photos (the ones I included above) and could see Annie in them, and then did more investigation into the breed.

Fascinating... I've never heard of the Tennessee Treeing Brindle before but I can see where it may well be part of her make up. I very much like the cur mixes I have met.

BigBoy, she makes two sounds that we have never had a dog make. One almost sounds like a bird and then it becomes a "rooing" sound. Then she makes another sound that is is not a regular bark. The best I can describe it is it is like someone "rolling their r's when speaking a foreign language. She also barks like any other dog, so it's not like she makes these strange sounds all the time. The rolling r sound is usually when she gets excited and she thinks we're not listening to her. The bird/roo sound is only when she is staring through the fence looking across the field seeing (or smelling) something I can't see.

It's fascinating to speculate what breeds may be in our dogs! We love them all the same.

Really don't care what kind of dogs Annie or Dunny are. Our crazy "kids" are our loves. As Techie said, it is just something fun to speculate about.
