Default Just had to share.... new edition coming TOMORROW!

Sorry for being off topic, I'm just so excited that I had to share my good news!

On saturday I stopped off at this pet store (great store, family run, nice people and great facilites), anyway, something pulled me to certain spot in the store, when I got there I found 3 kittens.. One that I just had to hold (I'm SO a dog person, but something about this cat just had me). Anyway, I held her, wanted her, but didn't know if I was ready. We lost our cat Nov of 09, and he was really special (he came with the hubby ), he thought he was a dog, so dosile and sweet, affectionate, smart etc. Because of how special he was, and because I wasn't a cat person, I thought ;o) I hesitated. Over the weekend, I thought about this little girl (also so dosile, sweet, and her colours - WOW) I dreamt about her, my daughter kept talking about how much she missed our old cat... So this morning, I called the store, she was still available.....

I paid for her tonight (its this program through Purina, buy the food, and you get the cat for free!) and I pick her up tomorrow...

VERY EXCITED!!!!

THe dogs are too - they also miss the old man as we used to call him... They seem to understand, when I came home with all the stuff tonight they were so happy, sniffing everything, and tails going crazy! Can't wait for them to meet her!

I will post pictures when shes home.

Thanks, I am more than excited.. don't think I'll be sleeping tonight..

I have some names I'm thinking about, but nothing I'm dead set on.. I like Maxine (in dedication to our old dog Max, the kittens coat reminds me of his, tons of colours and no set pattern), I like Fate.. Those are the names sticking out, but I'm open to suggestions..
I like funky names, which is why I think I am hesitating..

I will take lots of photos, hopefully she likes the dogs (she was a little nervous of one at the store, and I have two big ones, who are very gentle with kittens and cats)

You're a musician... what about something or a term from your music world that fits her? (my ex bil was a studio drummer way back when and played for standard fee instead of percentages.. don't ask what he missed out on and don't ask the name of the dog he had, lol). I'm looking forward to photos of a tiny cat ordering the dogs around

I was thinking about a musical name, nothing specific (and great memory you have!) I used to have a bird named B-flat.

Congrats on the addition to your household. I find that often, if I let them, my animals tell me their names. After I've known them a while - it just pops into my head who they are.

Congratulations! I can't wait for pictures. I have 3 cats but my Winny I got from a pet store (also free) for my birthday 10 yrs. ago. I wasn't looking for a cat at the time either but when I saw her I just couldn't leave without her. I'm so glad you decided to get a new kitty. Hopefully she will get used to the dogs quickly.
