Default Rare Breed

I was wondering if you have a mix or a pure breed dog that is rare. Please tell the: Approximate amount in north America, the type of dog/ mix, name of dog. You can also tell a bit about your dogs personality and your dogs intrests . I am really interested in all these rare dog breeds and would love to hear about your special friend!

My dog is a rare breed. His population is about thirty four in all of north America! His name is Chass pronounced shass. He is not a mix. Quite the suck up. He likes to sleep, play, Lay in the sun and fetch a ball or stick.

I don't have a rare breed but for a while I thought I might. My dog Zircon came from Murphy, North Carolina and we weren't at all sure what he was. Based on his appearance and some of his habits (like being very discreet about eliminating) it sounded like he might be a Carolina Dog so I looked into the breed.

I've since decided he isn't, but I do enjoy reading about breeds that are out of the ordinary.

Very different dog and cute. Mine are West German Shepherds from Germany, so common I say. You might get some rare breeds here, but I think most are more on the common side if I remember correctly. Nice doggie you have honey....
