Speachless, welcome to DogForum.org. Your thread is likely to provoke a lot of responses, and many of them are likely to be unkind, partly because people on the internet who feel passionately about a subject tend to be rude and unkind. We try to avoid that, here, so I locked the thread, given the responses you had already garnered.

The bottom line is that you allowed your bitch to be mounted, whether or not you intended to. If it was accidental, then you should not allow them together, again, until she is completely out of her heat. You need to ask your vet when that is, since you clearly do not know. You can also search DogForum for threads about the canine reproductive cycle, which will give you some information. Your bitch may or may not be pregnant. If she isn't, you are lucky. If she is, then you need to find a good vet, give your bitch quality care through her pregnancy, and ask your vet all the questions you have about her needs and the process.

Your thread is inflammatory because it sounds as if you allowed your bitch to be mounted without knowing anything about canine reproduction or your responsibilities as an owner, much less as a Breeder. If you are asking these questions at this point, and consider yourself a Breeder, you aren't ready. You need to do a lot more research on the subject. DogForum.org is a good place to start - use the search function and search for thread topics on breeding and canine reproduction, breeding, puppy care, and anything else you have questions about. Please search through the existing threads on the subject and read them carefully before asking - it may change your questions.

If you are an owner who didn't realize your bitch was in heat, then this is an "oops" situation. In that case, perhaps you meant you are new to canine reproduction (breeding with a small 'b') and were caught unprepared. There is a chance that your bitch won't be pregnant, and if a litter of puppies is NOT what you want, then keeping your dog and bitch separated may help prevent that. If she was only tied once, there is a chance she may not be pregnant, depending on where she is in her cycle. Litters in toy breeds put the bitch at risk, and you should talk with your vet about your options. If you didn't intend to have litters of puppies, then you must be much more careful (less successful) or you need to have her spayed (very successful). Some vets are willing to terminate pregnancy and spay at the same time, so that may be an option. Given that, as small as she is, your bitch is at risk, it is something you may want to give serious consideration.

If you intend to be a casual breeder, you won't find a lot of support here for backyard breeding (also known as BYB). All you have to do is search on the subject, here, and read a little, and it will become clear. With so many dogs abandoned, abused and in shelters, and so many dogs with serious genetic problems, the last thing anyone needs is more careless, irresponsible breeding.

If you were just trying to stir things up, then understand that trolls aren't welcome here.
