That's actually really quite disturbing! What are they on??
I dread to think the amount of birth defects you could get by trying to mass produce puppies from the smallest examples of breeds. Im not at all knowledgeable about breeding, and I do love puggles and alaskan klee kai I admit, but that makes me shudder..

Good god, it gets worse every day.

Where ever you see the word "teacup" beware !!!

Absolutely shocking, but someone will take it all in and buy..otherwise these peopel would have no market.

Supply and Demand.... as long as people will demand they will continue to supply.

I hate small dogs sorry people that have them no offense, just been bitten so much by them, have owned some. I love my Shepherds, so loyal, smart, easy to train and proctective naturally!!!

Once owned by one you would never go to another breed and I have owned alot of different ones in my long life so far.

If it wasn't so sad it would be funny. In other words, as stated below; there's very little consistency in size, color, body type or temperament between one dog and the next. Yet they refer to them as a breed!

Quote:
The Queen Elizabeth Pocket Beagle Foundation created the smallest new Beagle breed in the world by initially out crossing Beagles with Miniature Dachshunds, then breeding their offspring back to select small Beagles. Some of these dogs can mature at 5 to 15 lbs. in teacup sizes! Toy size is 15 to 25 lbs. Their conformation improves with each successive generation. During the process interesting coat patterns and colors never before seen in Beagles have become an identifiable trait of our unique breed of Beagle. Queen Elizabeth Pocket Bear cubs have a predominant pug and terrier multi-generation heritage. This breed has several coat styles and are named after the variety of bear cubs they resemble.
There oughtta be a law against this type of breeding.

No Im sorry me no like this one bit, You always have to beware of online secure payment for dogs, also why?
Why do they breed these so small?
If i wanted a handbag dog i'd have to buy a handbag first.
Dogs ok but these dogs no I would stay clear, accidental litters i can accept, but delibrate no chance.

I agree with all the above comments. And who is the IABCA [International All Breed Canine Association]. anyway?

And, how dare they put the name of our Queen on something which is bred abroad - sorry but I bet they think that gives them some sort of credibility.

Who are these breeders? Are they part of the Amish puppy farming community we had a thread about very recently?

I think that is so wrong to breed for such a small size, as you wouldn't know what health problems could crop up, and I am always surprised when I see things like this to know that people will buy the poor dogs.

These pudgy teddybears are puppies you've guessed. But what an interesting new breed! They look like adorable wild animal babies, resembling fox kits, lion cubs, or bear cubs of course! See the picture gallery of available cubs by clicking on the bear menu button above.
They are classified by type and you will find plush bear cubs with uniquely different coat colors and patterns.Queen Elizabeth Pocket Bear cubs are beautiful with their baby faces, sweet dispositions, and their wonderful to touch little muscular bodies you'll love to hold. They keep the personality and charm of their larger pug heritage, but are so much easier to carry, maturing between 4 and 12 lbs. That's small enough to ride in your shoulder bag.Queen Elizabeth Pocket Bears are nimble on their feet and not easily injured. Excellent as trick dogs, they can climb ladders, and will perch on your shoulder or lie on the back of your sofa if you let them. Healthy, easy to care for, shedding very little. They house train easily because they are so smart*.
RIDE IN A SHOULDER BAG!!!!

PERCH ON YOUR SHOULDER!!

if there was a bang your head on something smile I'd be using it right now.
