Default Aussies VS Golden ret

I just purchased my own home with my hubby and would like to get a second dog. I already have a 6 year old Golden Retriever who I love to pieces..
I have always had a thing for Aussies. Ive never owned one but done research for years. I dont need the speech of " really research the breed, they are not for everyone"
I just want other peoples opinions on both breeds and what they would prefer.. I know aussies are very trainable, and love to be velcro dogs. My Golden now is a velcro dog. and I love it. She is also very well trained. If I take her on the front lawn to do yard work she doesnt need to be tied up. and I can walk her without a leash no problem. and she loves water..
Honestly Im looking for a dog thats very similar to her, but want to maybe consider an aussie.
any and all opinions are appreciated..
Trish and Chloe.

I love both breeds!.Priska is my 1st golden but she is just about too easy!.I love herding breeds cos they are, usually,a bit more of a challenge so I could easily go for both!.
RIP, my beloved Priska!.

You already have a golden, so why not go for the aussie, as you've already established it will suit you. Then you've got the best of both worlds and you wont be left wondering what it would have been like to have an aussie. Just a thought.

"I've got thedo you?"
thanks Dave

I would not consider another breed. My Aussies are a perfect fit for me. They love to run, hike and swim but will settle down just fine in the evenings. I think an Aussie would need more daily mental and physical stimulation than a golden to stay out of trouble but I don't know your current training and activity level so I can't say. Yes, both my Aussies are velcro and do not wander when we are off on hikes or playing at the river. I would like to think thats partially from training.
