Default Phantom Pregnancy

Good evening to you,

My Layla will be due in Season pretty soon, her second one. Last time she had it she had a Phantom Pregnancy. I've heard that there is a Homoeopathic & Herbal- Remedies that you can give to your bitch whilst she is in Season to prevent phantoms. If this is true, and if so could anyone suggest anything, please?

Huge thanks to you,
Karen

Hi Fallinstar, my two are the first bitches I've had, as I've always had dogs myself lol. No need to apologise, as it's nice to meet you.
Hope you're having a nice weekend?

Never heard of products stopping phantom pregnancy!.The only thing, I know that truly works is spaying the dog but obviously it depends if she is going to have a show career or not!.

Hi, thanks for your reply.
I'm showing her at the mo. Hopefully her next coming season will be ok and I'm worrying for nothing lol

Forgot to mention the shot to stop the heat!.That could work cos no heat,no phantom pregnancy!.The only problem with the shot is that it can make them sterile!.I would ask yr vet!.

There is a way that is fairly good... My dog has never had big issues with phantom pregnancies and I have stuck to this...

1. Decrease her food, start approx 5-6 days into the heat. (she will go a bit skinnier but it's worth it if she has tough phantom pregnancies)

2. Increase the exersice, the more you increase exersice the less you can decrease the food but I would recomend doing both. and the more you can do outside the better..

You do this for approx 3-4 weeks and you usually make it..

1. Its not good for a dog to get puppies when there's less food (natural instinct)
and 2. The exersice will help her be tired and make her body focus on that then on the idea of puppies..

she will still have symptoms, but usually they are much milder oh and remove all stuffies or other adoptable puppies..

Good luck!

"pulsatilla " is a homeopathic tablet for bitches who ARE actually having a phantom pregnancy.
