Shih Tzu are great cuddle bugs...but i must warn, they are stubborn, mine is anyways.
They are also harder to potty train because of there stubborness but if you put the time and effort in they are great companions

A friend of mine has a Shih Tzu. She's very calm, but she does bark sometimes.

Here are some pages of information on both breeds. I hope they can help you!:

Lhasa Apso
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/lhasaapso.htm
http://www.akc.org/breeds/lhasa_apso/

Shih Tzu
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/shihtzu.htm
http://www.akc.org/breeds/shih_tzu/

Since your new puppy is a mix though, it could have qualities that only one of its parents has, both of its parents have, or even some that neither of its parents have that could come from far back in its history. I guess you'll just have to wait and see what your puppy will be like (including her appearance!). I'm sure she'll be fantastic though! Enjoy her!

You're likely to get traits similar to both breeds. Mixed breeds sometimes don't appear to resemble one breed or the other & end up in the middle. Sometimes, they lean in on direction or the other. No telling really. Mixes always turn out to be a big surprise.

It can go good or bad. My mom always loved the peekapoos, mean and nastey. My personal opinion I do not care for small dogs they get under my feet or trip over them. I like a big dog on the end of my leash. Just me, they are cute, but boy the health issues can be a real problem too? I wish the best in any case, I love all animals.

Your new puppy should be cute. No telling which traits of which breed it will pick up on though. Check out the links that xcolbi provided for some more info.
