Food for thought: "Routine farming practices are so abusive that they would warrant felony animal cruelty charges were they done to cats or dogs."

Good one "lil" ..While the ASPCA lists "may" charge $45. the one for "national animal poison (under 6 numbers not to be w/o) lists "along w/charge $45. charge for consultation. ASPCA might not charge anything.

I find the legal hotline helpfull. (all #'s handy & I forget/or have so many bookmarks - it's hard to find "fast"

Maybe one of the mods can put those 6 #'s + Aspca poison in like a "sticky" (don't know why it's called that - but see the info is permanent & ez to find) since we seem to get 's on those subjects & helpful for newcomers, like animal abuse what to do from a newcomer looking for such info.??Mods?? yes no, or is it posted permanent somewhere at a top of thread.?

Like I put site search abuse reporting legal questions, nothing came up, so don't know if we have anything like that.

Yes expensive if you have to call but the website has a ton of "free" info on certain household stuff and a ton of plant / flower info.

P.S. if you call the ASPCA they do charge. My neighbor had to call once...

lovingpaws, it is great for everyone to have the bookmarks they need for an emergency.
There are a couple of reasons not to have collection of links here, though and make it a sticky. One is that links sometimes change, and unless someone maintains them (ain't gonna be me), sooner or later you end up with many that are "broken" / outdated. So it may make more sense to post a link in response to someone's need. That way it will be current when it is posted, and if it changes later on it won't be a big deal.

The other thing is that this forum is international, so links that are only good for the US, well, they don't help someone in the UK or Australia etc. And if you try to put together a comprehensive list of links that will help everyone, it gets so long that you end up just doing the search of the internet because it is easier than looking through the list.

So sorry....no sticky guys. But keep thse links handy in case someone asks.
