They are both beautiful dogs but I wouldn't have a clue about proper conformation. Good luck!

Vanna is being line bred to out cross the un-symetrical face and get some good black and white genes into the lines. Your thoughts?
How are you line breeding and outcrossing in the same breeding?

You'd have to ask Brenda that. I'm actually not quite sure what she's up to. =P

Sorry, I thought it was your own dog you were planning to breed.

Outcrossing and line breeding are two completely different types of breeding.

Line Breeding is when both dogs have some common relatives. (not to be confused with inbreeding in which closer relatives are bred) The majority of smaller breeders use linebreeding.

Outcrossing is breeding two completely unrelated dogs. The probabilites of getting a uniform litter of typey dogs from an outcross is considerably reduced. Some might resemble the dam, some might resemble the sire and some or many could be completley different than either of them. If both parents are very close in phenotype the odds could be a little better.

I do admit I confused you. Vanna is my dog and her Breeder is line breeding her. I Will then out cross her daughter when I breed Vanna to Willie. Sorry, You confused me on that too. =P

Okay, now I get it. Two different breedings, 1 line breeding and 1 outcross! Thanks!

And you do NOT line breed any closer than third generation. Germans taught me that if anything else?? lol. I do not mess with any line, inbreeding or cross, my lines are not related what so ever. They are strictly West German lines of different parents totally.
