Question Disqualifing colors, of faults in breeds: explain please!

i know that Dalmatians with lemon colored spots aren't ....er..good?... for showing. like can't be shown because of that but has anyone seen or heard of other faults in a Dalmatian's coat that can get him disqualified?

and i know now that white GSD are just faults in the breed but does anyone know what causes those faults? is it the parents? and even if they had "faultless" pupipes before? or is it something that just happens now and then.
other breed stantards that i would like to know about are:

Pointers, (german shooth/short haired ones)
Izbian Hounds (did i spell that right?)
Great Danes (this is somewhere else too)
......er.....i'll think of more later....

You can find any breed standard, including disqualifing colors, at www.akc.org

In GSDs both parents must carry a recessive gene for the white color. They won't necessarily be white themselves, but they can pass on the gene.

Yes, there is something about this with shelties too,

If they are sable merle color and have 2 brown eyes they are ok to show, but if they have 1 blue 1 brown they don't qualify.. to me if you have the papers that you dog is full breed, that's all you need.... but I understand the ACK reasons too but I mean come on.....

But JIMO

yes, eye colors are understandable and i think happen most often the coat faluts. but is it ok if Dalmatians have the mix-matched eye thing? and Malamuts too.
