Wolfdogs are awsome, I love their behaviour and the character they have, even more than their looks. Nice to find a wolfdog owner on this forum!

Watch it out there. There is a lot of people who call their dogs wolf dog. A real wolf hybrid is not as simple as it seems to be. Those animals are very shy and timid by nature. They also have a very hard time to stay in a house for they destroy everything. They cannot be house broken like a dog... They have to be kept in a very large and safe enclosure... I took care of saving wolves and real wolf hybrids for over 20 years. It was VERY hard and not for everyone. Many people think that their dog is part wolf because it's wolf grey. In fact it's a northern breed dog wolf grey markings....
In the movie Dances with Wolves they took a hybrid for the movies and it shows you how laid back those animals are. At the end of the movie the hybrid was so shy to go toward the Native people that he got killed by the White idiots soldiers. I was glad that for once in a movie they showed the wolves the way they really are....

I forgot to say that there are lots of websites who pretend to sell wolf dogs and they are in fact northern breed dog X. All the real wolf dog breeders keep their animals in very large enclosures most of the time....
