Default Gromacs cannot continue further

Going to send back work have done.

EARLY_UNIT_END

...I thought it completed that WU kinda quick - only a couple of hours. I think Gromacs got bored with that work unit and decided to trade...

Gromacs is the program that does all the work. I finished a work unit over the weekend and uploaded it, this morning, and started on another one. A couple of hours later (much too soon to be finished), the program suddenly gave me that message ("Gromacs cannot continue further. Going to send back work have done."), shutdown, sent the work unit back to Stanford unfinished, and downloaded another work unit. It has been merrily plugging along on the new one, all day...I dunno what made it send the other one back. Maybe it didn't taste good?

There are two causes for this -

1) the computer is unstable in one form or another. This most commonly happens if the computer is overclocked too far or if there is another problem (virus, lots of spyware, etc.)
2) the results of the number crunching proceeded to a point to which they could not longer proceed. This is sometimes a natural result of the simulation, and it's not a concern if it happens only infrequently.

I'll take the second cause. There were no errors in the log, and no indication of system instability, and the work I was doing wasn't taxing the machine.

Yeah, it's nothing to worry about unless you start seeing it on a regular basis.
