Star's Facebook page is still up and it's being used by many as a sounding board for animal abuse.
I just hope pressure is being put on the judge from animal lovers world wide I am glad Facebook has still got the page up and the focus on this story is still very much being talked about. Thank you again for continuing to keep the members on here upto date! Fingers crossed for the appeal hearing!!! ATB

Bigboy, I will keep everyone posted. I have been very active in the STAR case, and animal abuse. Funny, I still can't find a job, but I love my new passions.

Ahh Bigboy, I believe everyone should give back to their community. I volunteer at a local home for abused children. I have been doing this even when I worked full time. Some of the children are so abused that visitation is supervised with a one on one and an armed guard. Very sad, and sometimes too hard to take. I can't tell you how many times I've had to pull my car off to the side of the road so I could compose myself for my ride home. I also am "on call" for my family Doctor. I fill in for emergency procedures, vacations, and holidays. I'm running into two issues. The first is the high unemployment rate. The second is, I'm told I am over qualified for most positions I'm applying for. I'm trying to tone down my resume a bit. I hear the same thing over and over. "We'd like to hire you, but as soon as the economy picks up, you will probably leave for a higher paying job." If nothing else, at least I still have a positive attitude, and the DF! I learn something new every day here. See, you can teach an old dog new tricks!

gspdad... your welcome. It doesn't take much to bring a little bit of joy and love into someone's life. I have a real soft spot for animals, children, and the elderly. They have no voice.

Me too. This story about Star was amazing. Just 2 women we able to organize a walk against animal abuse, that was the largest in history. It is incredible what social media can do these days. With Facebook, Twitter, and eveything else, anything can go viral in a day.
