Know what you mean Re another programme The Coal house in the 1940's depicting a Welsh mining village in the 1940's is only being shown in wales ( Don't see any sense in just showing it in the wales region only?) As they did a 1927 Coal house which was also shown in the midlands region and may be other regions too I would say re Rouge Traders could be seen on the BBC I-Player site! and it's not just the last episode that you catch up you can catch up on all episodes apprantley

Ok Just finished watching Rouge Traders I have to say there not much cheese
in tonight programme both Matt and Dan where presenter perfect It was sad to say the least those poor pups that had to be destroyed because of serious viruses such as Parvo they didn't stand a chance very sad. That lakeside puppy farm in Bala North wales shoud be closed down IMO Mr Evans what a a heartless git didn't care one bit about his dogs Did you see how he pushed Matt Alwright about?
What a vile thing he was. At least his customers soon left Result

I think once they close the docking loophole meaning Ireland, and the North of Ireland rogue breeders and puppy Farmers can't all claim theyr bred here can they?

I see the programme. I was sad about the one puppy "either" that had to be pts because of the parvo virus.

That breeder from Wales was awful. He should be closed down. I wonder what was through that door that he pushed Matt away from.

At least now people who see the show can see the breeder for what he really is.

I thought the programme was pretty crap to be honest, they could have said a lot more and been a lot more informative, just another puppy farm programme that didn't say what it needed to.

I thought they missed a lot of the points about responsible puppy buying, but the message was essentially good - especially the end part where they encouraged people to go to rescue centres. I can't believe they didn't pick up on all those crappy 'pedigree' registries! They should have mentioned that the Kennel Club is the only official one.

I can't believe anyone could think a pet shop or a website was a good way to get a puppy though! Talk about clueless. Hopefully the programme will stop a few people making that mistake.

It hit close to home for me - my Molly was from a puppy farm in wales like the one featured - she has the same eye condition that the little cocker they bought had too. It makes me so angry that people still buy these dogs and put dogs like Mol at risk.

funny thing was I thought of use when they mentioned about that puppy's eyes.

mostly it silly people making mistakes, and the puppy farmers and pet shops taking advantadge. I definotly think there could have been more said about only buying from health tested parents.

I can't beleave that guy, that stopped them from leaving, he was just insain, I mean even looked like a puppy farm, and the fact that the RSPCA and council only told him to inprove his isolation and keep better records, I would have taken his license away.

I do think the line "if you don't see the mummy, don't give your money" was great.

yeah they could of said more but they only had half hour, and remember this is the BBC we are talking about.

Yes you're right Vixen, the message was essentially good.

It makes me realise just how lucky Molly was to survive that terrible start. She's a lovely little dog, but she's got 2 separate eye conditions, deformed front feet and other issues. They try to make you think puppies like Molly aren't that common even in these puppy farms - but clearly they are.

The little cocker looked just like Molly did as a puppy too, I'm so glad she survived.
