Tomorrow Shelby is going in for her surgery, to get spayed. I know that she is strong now, and her doctor is practically a magician, but to me she is still such a fragile baby and I worry about her (an emotion quite foreign to me). I hope she does well, and I hope that in her days of recovery she won't pop anything open. She is quite an accomplished climber and a professional trouble maker.
I have never had a female dog before. Does anyone know from their own experience how long it takes them to get over the surgery once they come home? I imagine I will have to keep a very close eye on her for at least a week.
