Default My boys

Just wanted to share some pics of my 2 boys.

Here is Sam, posing for the cover of the Humane Society cookbook:

And Spike, who enjoys anything that is wet, including snow. I'm convinced that my cat Stumpy is laughing at him:

The 2 of them when they were younger snuggling with my OTB cat Shep:

And Sam snuggling with Stumpy:

They are littermate brothers who will be 4 in November. Their mother was an Irish Setter mix. The father(s) are unknown. We think there were 2 fathers for this particular litter.

The funny thing about that picture. I was creating a cookbook to sell on behalf of the Humane Society and in the spirit of "the betterment of homeless dogs", I set up the pie dough, sprinkled some flour on his nose and had to grab Sam's paws to place them on the counter. He was about a year old at the time and it is taboo in my house to reach for things on the counters. I was standing close to him with the camera and he turned his head to look at me in utter confusion. I caught that look in this picture and what a Kodak moment! But talk about negating a years worth of training!

The pie was peach and it was delicious. The cookbook was called "HELP With Desserts", as the Humane Society was nicknamed HELP.
