Default Announcing Mud Season!

No one in New England is sorry to see winter end. About the only good thing I can say about the snow on the ground is that the doggies' paws are clean when they come in the house.
We are now headed inot mud season, which along with "stick season" in November is a time when there aren't any flatlanders (aka tourists) around.
These pics are not from this year, but they remind me to get out the dog towels and have them ready at all the doorways!

LOL, love your pics! Such big smiles they have while they're drenched in mud. As Ozzy says, The only thing better than being wet is being wet & muddy. Mud season hasn't hit here yet as it has been too try for the most part ... but I'm sure it is coming soon.

Your dogs look happy
We have mud season at the moment but luckly we have had a few days dry so the garden is not to bad, but it only has to rain once and for 5 minutes and it will be back to mud sliding again

Mud season... joy. Try keeping mud off of the manes and tails of 7 horses and the dogs. I keep my hose ready right by the back door to wash off the pooches before they come inside.

It is better then ice season though as mud season brings summer, bring it on!

I know the season. If I make a suggestion- we found when I had shepherds, that in the spring when you add grass seed, mix with half rye. It holds the dirt very well- and makes the grass tougher to kill.
Now- it does go greyish in fall and winter- but then again- kentucky blue grass goes brown- so why not.
We mixed half rye and tall fescue 50/50- and its almost impossible to make those 'mud tracks'.

Haha, looks like they're having fun! We've still got snow, no mud for Jenny!
