Default Willow pics

Hi all! What a time capsule this forum is. I first registered 8 years ago as a wee fourteen year old about to buy my first Australian Shepherd puppy... so funny to read old posts and heartening to see the same usernames popping up all over the website. So much has happened since then; I earned a bachelor degree, got married (to that same boyfriend I mentioned in a post a few years ago!), moved to the States from Canada, and we bought our first house. Through it all, my little sidekick Willow has stuck to me like velcro. She turned 8 in June, and I hope to see a good few more years with her yet.

Click through on these photos to see larger.

1. Taught her to hop into a bucket on command... 2. She loves swimming.

3. Portrait. 4. Running toward my mum's dog, Sawyer.

5. Sawyer, who I posted about here too. 6. After a good grooming session!

Now my husband and I are looking for a new Australian Shepherd pup. If anybody is wondering about Meg, she's been adopted by my grandmother (long story!! I would have her here if it were possible but they have a deep attachment to each other and both have limited lifespans...).

Any suggestions of ethical Aussie breeders in Washington state are welcome. We found one in Oregon who said we could have a puppy but she hasn't responded to our emails for five days . Not sure why. I'll be phoning her up tomorrow but I'm worried she somehow decided we were unworthy pup parents!

Welcome back. I joined just a couple of months before you did. Hard to believe 8 years have passed. At that time I just had the Shih Tzu x Maltese and Susie, my Bernese cross. Now I have an almost 4 year old Doberman and an 11 month old Golden Aussie Doodle added to my family but lost one of my Shih Tzu x Maltese a few months ago so just have my two males and one female that I am doing Agility with when I am able.

Your Willow looks like a real sweetie, and the pics are delightful!

I'm a newbie here, so can't welcome you back, but I can say it's nice to meet your virtual acquaintance

Thanks all!

Bigboy - Willow lives with me, and has the entire time except for one year when we lived in a no-pets apartment. Meg, the golden retriever, lives with my grandmother . They are very much enamored with each other and mutually dependent.

Kyllobernese - Sad to hear about your shih-tzu mix . Now excuse me while I go look for pics of your new pups...

Thanks Malaki! See you around
