As of right now, the bear is missing one full ear and half of the other and has a damaged paw. She became overly interested in trying to remove the eyes but as I have already had two visits to the ER for "foreign object ingestion", I figured it was best if the bear spent some time 'recuperating' in the closet :-)

LOL. Lucy used to take the eyes and nose out too so I started buying sewn on eyes only. She did grow out of that but every once in a while she will still take the stuffing out but not very often.

She looks gorgeous in that pic . . . . . . and toys are made for chewing lol. As I'm sure you're all aware, Roly usually can't help himself and the ears are the first and usually only part of a toy he chews off. He doesn't do it quite as often these days, so give her a decade or so . . . .

I'd love to find things that only have sewn eyes, they are surprisingly hard to find. You'd think that with manufacturers of dog toys sewn eyes would be a given.
Trish, you must have quite a collection of spare ears :-)

It is hard to find stuffies that do not have rice, beans, peas or whatever in them, or that have sewn on eyes. I don't know how many times I have heard a crunch from Kris and had to retrieve the eyeballs from a toy. Right now she has a whole bunch of frozen, de-stuffed toys outside to play with. Now if I can just get her to stop running off with the water buckets and tipping all the water out. Just chained one to my fence, see if that works. I have a plug-in heated dog bowl but she keeps dumping it so gave up with it as the last time she unplugged it plus the plug to my horse's tank heater. She cannot reach the plug in on the wall so there is no electricity going through it.
