Love that girl! She's just trying to keep her mom on her toes....no pun intended.

Every time I walk in the back door with Kris, before I can get my boots off, she grabs my slipper and runs on into the house with it. She has done that since she was an 11 week old puppy. She never has chewed on them, just runs away with one and drops it in the kitchen and comes back for the other. I finally got it through to her to bring them back one by one so I can put them on. All I say is "mine" and she hands it to me and runs off to bring the other one back.

I know it would have probably been easier to just teach her to leave them alone but she has so much fun doing it that I have just let her do it.

Sadie is 8 1/2 and still is in the 'steal anything of anybody's that isn't nailed down' phase. Especially leather as in expensive hats and moccasins.

Guess poor Dunny never had a chance to get into the puppy "stealing" phase. He was found along the side of the road when he was about 6 wks old. He was adopted from the rescue shelter. Then when he was 6 months old, he was returned because the new wife of the guy who adopted him said Dunny was too big to be around her toddler. We adopted him when he was 11 months old and he had no desire to bother anything that wasn't given to him.

His type of story makes me so angry-at the arrogance and ignorance of people. Whatever puppy-fun Dunny missed out on, is exponentially compensated by his luck in finding such a great new home.
I 'could' stick a stamp on Cheynie's nose and send her for a week to teach Dunny all kinds of mischievous things to do if you like

I'd guess it wasn't connected when she got to it. Might want to put some bad taste stuff on your cords. When I was using oxygen, Sadie chewed up several oxy lines into uniform half inch pieces. That's hundreds on a 50 foot line and all so uniform, you'd think she'd used a measuring device.
