Default Dunbar had a good Christmas

His favorite "toy" is his deer antler. He's never had one before. He liked his new bowl because of what was in it. Though it looks like his Christmas dinner was just kibble, it wasn't. He ate the good stuff first...turkey breast mixed with baked sweet potato, and green peas. Then of course the after Christmas dinner nap. Should have taken a picture of all of the males in the house napping after dinner .

He looks warm and comfy in his red sweater! I am glad he had a good day.

He probably dreamt about that dinner :-) And I think the antlers were a good choice for him too, nice and "masculine"

I'm going to get Sadie some antlers sometime.
She is still waiting for her squirrel dude as she ate all the treats that would go in it :-
Dunbar looks quite content and probably wonders why this doesn't happen every day.

Squirrel dude was a bit hit here too. I put some chicken in it and now she stares at it waiting for it to refill itself!

Knowing Cheynie, she will get her wish.

Dunbar was warm and comfy in his sweater. Glad we had it as it was colder here on Christmas Day than our regular weather.

Since Dunbar had never had any antlers to chew on and didn't know if he would like them, I just wanted to buy one, not a package of them. Went to:
Elk & Deer Antler Chews for Dogs | DrsFosterSmith.com
and did online chat to find out which would be best for him. Very nice people.

Cheynie's "aunt" and our neighbors across the street (who Cheynie has adopted as surrogate grandparents) both gave her gift certificates to Petco. I might pick up some of these if they have them... since she has already shredded two of her Christmas "dish towels" (don't ask ) and I've heard all good things about the antlers. How long do they tend to last?

Don't know how long they last, but have heard good things about them...They are digestible and have health benefits. I got an eight inch one for Dunbar, and unless you had a toy breed, I would recommend that for any dog if you are buying a deer antler as it isn't heavy.
