Default Sticky, gooey Cheynie

Tuesdays tend to be busy days for me as I try to get all the running around and shopping done. Cheynie is such a 'helper' as I try to put away groceries-into everything, deciding that everything that comes in the door is hers to investigate and play with before it gets put away, and so on. This week I decided to pick up a busy bone to occupy her while I put things away. It worked great! She happily picked it up and I didn't hear a peep out of her as she curled up under the table with it. Smart me! Well, not quite. I didn't realize what a gooey mess she could turn this bone into and that the sticky little white pieces would embed themselves in her fur, nose, face, and paws. So all the time I saved by keeping her busy with that bone, I spent having to give her a mini bath. Wasn't that spa day where she was so clean and shiny just four days ago?

Sorry I have to laugh. Sometimes moms ( for 2 or 4 legged kids) just can't win for losing.

She was, those little clumps sure had staying-power and trying to wash off a wiggly puppy who is more interested in eating the washcloth than in getting cleaned up was a challenge too. I do know of worse however, a family that used to live up the street from me had a lovely collie; one day their little daughter decided to paint the dog for them with peanut butter!!

Yikes! Peanut butter all over a Collie? I have a visual, and it's not pretty!
