Miya needs to walk through every puddle we see when walking.

We are currently staying in a hotel(or motel, I guess) because we are traveling. It took about 17 hrs to get to where we are(Nebraska) from home and we'll be staying here for a week(to see my brother/sister-in law and nephew and newborn niece*well she's a month old now*). The weather is all nice and rainy(don't really like it but it's better then the weather we got on the drive here!)

Does Miya expect you to follow her through the puddles? How nice that you are getting to visit with your family! How did Miya like the long drive? Hope you both have a great time!

I think she did It is nice to see them since my nephew pretty much thinks I'm a stranger.

She did okay. It took her about two-three hours after we started driving for her to calm down and feel comfortable enough to lay down and just relax. We stopped half way, after about 9 hours of driving and and stayed at a hotel for the night-she was terrible there, she would bark at every little noise. At the hotel we're at now she's better though.

I'm hoping the weather clears up(It's suppose to rain for the next four days).

Hope you have a nice trip, that's a lot of driving!

As for puddles, I try my best to keep Roly out of them, but he always want to get at the exact sniff that's always on the other side of one

I can so relate to that...as much as Chessie hated water, puddles apparently aren't made from water. She insisted on sniffing things across the puddle at the farthest point and would plod right through them to make sure it got a thorough sniff while I did gymnastics to keep my feet dry!

Ama, hope you are enjoying your visit with family! Harley fines every puddle possible too. I have no clue what the obsession is.

Thank you

I have no clue what the obsession is either.

When we stopped on the way down here the hotel grass was kind of flooded, so it was terrible taking Miya out because anywhere you stepped in the grass your foot would be covered with water. Made me wish I had brought Miya's long leash(the one I was using for recall).

Sadie wants to walk through puddles, too. I do have to insist that she not drink form them, especially beside the road.
