Default Mr. Buddylee: The Escape Artist

Riverside Drive has an amazing gravitational pull, only felt by our adorable Bassethound. Street traffic is sparse, but we still worry about Mr. Buddylee roaming the neighborhood. One minute he is relaxed and sunning himself in the yard, the next minute he's making his escape, always looking back over his shoulder as he exits the yard. He is obviously sneaking away and knows it! Lyn, Jon and I are pre-occupied with picking Loquats, the tree is filled with an abundance of plump fruit. These Japanese Plums are usually ready in early Spring and their flavor is a mix of peach, citrus and mild mango. Mr. Buddylee is not a fan of the crop so he's off to discover other tasty treats.

I've seen loquats in the stores here but I haven't ever tasted one. My previous dog was crazy for oranges and used to try to steal them! She would roll them around on the floor and carry them around like a ball. When you peeled one to eat, she would glue herself to you to get a piece..maybe loquats are an acquired taste for Mr. Buddylee :-)

LOL! Go Mr. Buddylee! I have never even heard of Loquats, but I would love to try some. I don't think he was sneaking away either. He is just simply taking a stroll. Mr. Buddylee would NEVER think of doing such a thing!
