Default Snow~

We got our first snow fall of the year yesterday. It started snowing at around noon and continued through the day-switching from rain to snow- Apparently it's suppose to snow more sometime today and even more then yesterday. I think it finally stopped snowing around six this morning

Anyway...Miyavi loves the snow. Some pictures and video of her enjoying it:

She was on the leash I use for recall because...Well, I did not want to go into the snow.

The snow makes dogs into puppies again as surely as it makes grown ups into children

PMR, I agree. I really am not welcoming snow right now, but I do love the first downfall. I love to take the dogs out and watch them run like puppies. Of course I have to make snow balls and throw them. This year I have really got to get some pictures.

*laughs* Dee, I like to play 'snowball catch' with Miya too. I love how baffled she is when the 'ball' disappears.

Took her out to play for a bit and she found her ball in the backyard. Since she seems to like sniffing around more when there is snow I decided to combined the two-Hiding the ball in the snow and having her find it. Here's a video of her doing that

I don't mind the snow when I'm off and don't have to go anywhere-or just when it snows for Christmas- but the snow can be tiring when one has to run errands or go to work!

On another note; I took my ferrets outside to see how they would react to the snow. In the six years I've had them I haven't taken them outside during winter.

My male ferret wanted nothing to do with the snow-He didn't want anything to do with the outside at all. As soon as I put him on the side walk he ran straight back to my house and was scratching at the door to go inside.

My female ferret didn't go in the snow but she was more curious on the outside. She sniffed around for a bit and was 'exploring'. But mostly avoided the snow(aside from sniffing it a few times).

I bet Rascal won't like the snow if we should get some. She didn't even want to go out in the rain to piddle Now THAT could get to be a problem here in Oregon

Ama, what a cute video. I was wondering if she was going to find the ball at all. I bet she could stay outside all day playing. Now you need to get a video of your ferrets.

I was wondering if she would find it too, took her awhile ha.

I did get a video of my ferrets outside and also a picture of my female ferret in the snow(I didn't want to force either of them in it)

Attached is the picture of my female ferret in the snow.

Here is the video:

How funny. Little "rat tail guy" looked like all he wanted to do is get back inside. Your little girl looked like she was having fun.
