She has escalated from perching on the back of the sofa, to putting her front paws on the windowsill....to actually sitting/standing ON the windowsill.

When she does spot one though, she just watches in tense, seething silence.....

A family about four houses away from me has a wonderful golden retriever, Molly. They also have a bay window in their livingroom (which faces the street). Molly is another one who will sit and/or nap in this window surrounded by all sorts of lovely things (including a Tiffany lamp!) and has not ever knocked anything down. How humbling that both Nellie and Molly have a better track record with that than I do!

Nellie may be a little fuzzball of coiled up killer instinct, but she IS light on her paws.
