Default Random Pictures :)

Just thought I'd share some random pictures of my *spoiled* dog Miyavi(otherwise known as Miya)

This was taken last night;

She stole one of my pillows so she could use it while she sleeps, ha.

Got her a halti harness thing, to see how it works, she seems to feel comfortable wearing it. Can't see how it works on a walk yet because I don't want to take her for a walk until she's out of her heat cycle.

N' now random shots of her;

{Her outdoor toys are in the area she is trying to reach. She already had a few balls out but for some reason she always wants ALL of the toys out. }

Here's my mother's shih-tzu(pictured above with Miya)

Thanks!

The shih-tzu is my mother's but Miya was pretty much raised with her since I got her, so they are good friends They go everywhere together.

Hah *ashamed* she is spoiled...just a bit

She also has her own kiddie pool that she loves to play in, can't wait till the weather warms up so I can set it up for her again.

This is a video of her playing in it for the first time :3

I had gotten Chessie one of those pools. I had a terrible time finding one where I live. Every store was sold out of them! I was ecstatic when I found one. I got it home, filled it with water and took her out in the middle of the hot summer to surprise her. Well, I was the one surprised... she hated it!! I thought my neighbors were going to call AC for all the noise she was making when I was trying to lure her in. It took a lot of persuasion and a ton of American cheese but she finally went in long enough for me to take her picture...of how miserable she looked, lol. She is part lab so I had thought she would think the pool was great. I couldn't have been more wrong. So... now there is a nice little wading pool for when my nephew's kids come to visit :-)

It took me forever to find Miya one too! I kept thinking 'What's with this? These type of pools were around everywhere when I was younger!' I was glad when I finally found one, though it was a lot more than I thought it would be(about $30) but well worth it I think.

Yeah, it took me awhile to get Miya in it. After filling it up I tried splashing it, trying to get her curious. She just looked at me like I was a weirdo. So then I got in it myself, first just moving my feet around. Then I eventually sat down in it and splashed around, etc. Tried making it as interesting as possible-like it was the best thing ever(the water was freezing though!)

It took her about 30-50 minutes to actually get her to touch it a little bit. She did it slowly, first she only put her paws in, then her snout, then she would jump in it and then out. She loved the snow in winter, so I was surprised she didn't take to the water quickly.

But *laughs* now she loves it. Last time I brought it out she got excited and was jumping around it. Then when I went to go get the hose she was barking at me, she knows water comes from it so she took it from me and went and set it in the yard(kind of near the pool) and then was barking at it. Wish I had taken a video of that because it was funny. Then my goodness she got so excited when the water was actually on and in the pool filling it up

Haha at least you have someone that enjoyed the pool in the end!

Not a happy dog:

It's funny when my nephew's kids come over and play with the pool. She loves them and wants to be with them, but when they are playing in the pool she loves them 'from a distance' lol. This is the same dog that has no problem slogging through huge puddles from melted snow or rain but a pool? nope!

*laughs* so cute.

That's such a 'let's hurry up and get this over with' expression.

I bought one for Susie as she loves swimming or wading in every little lake and stream we come to. She never did go in it unless I told her to get in, then just stood there till I told her she could get out. I think I will donate it to my Niece's little boy who is two this year and would probably enjoy it this summer.

Ama, love the pictures and video. Harley has a baby pool too. I've never seen a Collie like water, but he loves the baby pool. I found one at K-Mart that was only 12 dollars. I'll have to hunt down some pictures of him in his pool. My other Collie and Chi have no interest at all in the pool. Harley will find a stick, drop it in the pool, and wait for it to move. Then he's like a crazy dog, dunking his head under the water, grabbing the stick, and then take off running around the yard with it. Forget about trying to water flowers. Harley runs and jumps at the hose, snapping at the water. He must think he's some sort of water dog.
