She got told off by hubby for one sin or another - snarling, probably - so when she had done her time out on the floor she was invited back up, and snuggled pathetically into the crook of hubby's arm. When she dozed off her mouth was open and she was snoring like a bear. Bless.

She gave us a scare this week Dee......one evening she was reluctant to hop up on to the sofa, or up onto the bed, for the first time since recovering from her surgery. She had one episode of inexplicable panting that night, and then started that continual stretching of her spine the following day - just as she did when she had the ruptured disc. We decided to monitor her for 24 hrs, and if no improvement, I would call the surgeon and get him to take a look at her.

We were worried but didn't panic - and thankfully, whatever was ailing her passed after 48 hours. We suspect she was stiff in her shoulders after some excessively energetic "killing" of a squeaky toy bought for her as a present by my in-laws!!

Phew.

Good Lord Sue, thank goodness she is ok. You know after everything she has been through, I'd be hitting the panic button everytime she moved funny. Thank god she is all right. So how is the squeak toy holding up?

Dee, I'm sorry to say that the squeaky reindeer toy has lost a leg, both arms, has been hideously disembowelled and to add insult to injury, is boss-eyed and lost the bobble on his hat.

Glad you all like the pic - luckily I was able to get hubby to pull his robe a bit further across his manly chest, my original pictures of Nellie snoring delightfully had the unfortunate backdrop of hubby pointing to his hairy nipple. Eww.

Yes sorry no recent update, still I guess no news is good news when it comes to the Gremlin. Which reminds me.....I'm going to change my avatar......

Oh. I have recently purchased numerous items of fluorescent tape and stickers with which to decorate the handle of her lead, and the main bit of the lead attached to the handle. I have also purchased a luminous yellow "doggy bandana" for Nellie, and two fluorescent armbands for me.

If other dog walkers don't see us coming now without idly wondering if she is a "special needs" dog, I well and truly give UP.
