I don't think little puppy is a good description. LOL. Dozer is huge and what a beautiful puppy. I love this breed and boy, are you going to have fun with him. Congratulations and am really looking forward to watching him grow up. He has the most gorgeous face.

Welcome moose! Glad to have you aboard and congratulations on your new pup! Dozer is just spectacular :-) I've only met one Leonberger and there wasn't anything I didn't immediately love about him. Puppies can be a handful but Dozer is an armful at only 11 weeks. What a beautiful boy! I am very much looking forward to hearing all about him as he grows and, of course, seeing tons of pictures :-)

Aww, how cute is Dozer! :-)

Thanks so much for the warm welcome.
I will update as he grows BIGGER AND BIGGER.

Luckily we have a very well trained female Border Collie (Sammi) that is already showing him the ropes. Such different breeds though. It is fun to watch the difference in the two.

The Leonberger that I met is seen at the same specialty center where Chessie is seen. I've met him several times when we have been there and I am thrilled when we go for our appointment and he is there as well. The first time I saw him I did a double take, I was trying to keep an eye on Chessie and I had to look twice because I truly did think that someone had brought a bear in with them! Chessie had a long appointment that day and I was able to spend a lot of time meeting this wonderful dog, so sweet and so friendly and gentle. I loved his size, his appearance and everything about him. I am very much looking forward to all the updates about Dozer :-)

We have wanted one for a long time, and when some pups came available i drove 9 hrs round trip to go see them. When i met the daddy of this guy he literally stopped me in my tracks. I am a big guy myself. 6'5" 325. He came around the corner of the house and it was like a bear coming toward me, he calmly walked up to me and sniffed a bit, hung out for awhile, then went about his day. I was truly impressed! What an awesome animal. He is already part of the pack. We love him!

If you were closer I would be at your door with a plate of Christmas cookies trying to bribe a dogsitting visit :-) NY to Wyoming is just a little to far
