Pimped-out poodles strut at U.K. groom-off

A dinosaur. Or should that be dino-doodle?

Extreme dog grooming is no longer an exclusively American trend -- just check out the pimped-out poodles who strutted their stuff at the British Dog Creative Stylist of the Year competition, which drew poodles and poodle hybrids from across the isles.

My Little Pony -- er, Poo-ny.

No animals were harmed in the canine competition; all of the crazy colors were produced with washable vegetable dyes.
Lady Gaga. Her legions of little monsters would be proud.

"The dogs are thrilled with all the attention they get," organizer Louisa Tandy told the U.K. Daily Mail. "For them it's just like getting a bath and a haircut."

This horse pulling a cart is a poodle of a different color.

The winner? The red dragon. But maybe that's because the pooch was a regional favorite; he was actually modeled on the red dragon proudly displayed on the flag of Wales.

Supposedly all natural colourings.

I am not impressed by it at all, can't stand to see people messing with dogs like this, it's ridiculous.

I want to dye Moo pink. That would be funny as hell. I think she would look good painted pink.

I accidentally dyed my pointer pink in the 'Tomato Ketchup Incident' following a particularly stinky roll in fox poo that he did.

We no longer use Tomato Ketchup to get rid of poo smells... I had a pink pointer that smelled of tomatoes and it was not a good look!

I would steer clear of the food coloring as a dye...I remember all too well how long it took to get the green off my fingers after I made enough 'pine trees' out of icing to decorate a full size slab cake for a party!!

I was an embarrassment to myself for weeks...maybe watered down beet juice for pink...it came off my fingers fairly easily this past weekend when I was pickling them!
