Default Perfect Technique

Hey all. I haven't been on here in a while. I have been traveling a lot with my job lately. I just thought I would pop in and share this pic with you. Rambo is close to perfection with his "Puppy Dog Eyes" technique.

I agree, he has the technique down perfectly...I would have a hard time saying no to whatever those eyes were asking for. Must be really tough when he and Millie both give you "the look" at the same time :-)

He is a sweet boy. He never causes any trouble. He has been very happy this week. Our temps went from upper 90's to upper 70's, so we've been playing fetch a lot in the back yard when I get home from work in the evenings.

It is very tough. I think it's a combination of his eyes, and the way our groomer leaves his fur a little long on his ears. I love that look on him. This pic was taken back in July. He's getting pretty shaggy now. We're going to the vet to get him up to date on his rabies shot in the morning so we can go back to the groomer.

Yup. That's the look. "Now, listen verrry carefully. You will find me irresistible. You will give me all the treats and all the yummy human food in the house. You will take me for long walks and play with me every time I so much as go near the door. You will give me belly rubs when you least expect it. That's a good human."

Hahaha!! Nellie also has this down to a fine art, but her motivation is slightly different from "normal" dogs; she simply wants to be free to race around and feed her adrenalin addiction. Humans aren't really part of her preferred environment, she only uses us to open doors and gates and enable her hooligan behaviour.......

Rambo is kind of like that. He normally just wants us to open the door so he can go outside and explore. He has to be in the mood for a belly rub. If he's not in the mood, he will get up and move away from you if you start petting him.

Oh...funny story...we were playing fetch one night, and he decided he had to pee. He drops his ball. Takes a couple of steps forward and pees on his ball. Then he proceeds to chase bugs in the grass. I thought to myself, "I guess we're done playing fetch." LOL
