Default More Photos from the Retreat.

These are the guinea fowl and bantams I had to let out of the pen every am and put them back at night. However, the fowl preferred to sleep in the trees.

Gus making sure they didn't come into the bedroom. Hello Gus....the door is closed!!!

The dogs look like they love the place as much as you do! Great photos. Is it hard to round up the fowl and bantams in the evening? I love the photo of Gus guarding the bedroom!

Little Lucy, the bantams always go into the pen on their own when they are ready, usually about 5.30pm. They are such lovely animals. I had fresh eggs for breakie every morning. Mind you, I needed about 4 for a decent feed. LOL. If the fowl want to go in they will be there as well but now they are teenagers, they prefer the trees.

The rest of my pack would have done that too. Mind you, Gus went outside every now and again to have a bark at them. Prolly letting them know who was boss. Mind you, they never took any notice of him. LOL

We have about 22 chickens and 5 Indian Runner ducks. Charlie has gradually got used to them. Luckily they all take themselves to bed of an evening, cause where we are there are a lot of foxes. We get lots of fresh eggs.... I love keeping them I'd have more if I could.....
